BRIGADE GROUP'S TREE PLANTATION INITIATIVE GIVES SITARAMPALYA
LAKE A GREEN BOOST.

The tree plantation event was held in the presence of Dr.A.Ravidra,IAS (Retd.),former Chief Secretary,Govt.of Karnataka,Dr.Vaman Acharya,Chairman,Karnataka Pollution Control 
Board,Mr.M.R.Jaishankar,Chairman,Brigade group, and Dr.Anil Abhi,Director,tropical Research Development Centre(TRDC).

Speaking at the event,Mr.Jaishankar said," Brigade group has taken the responssibility
of reviving Sitarampalya lake  & restoring its past glory".The area will be lined with trees
to give the lake green cover.The lake is extended over 23.37 acres and will have 1.4 kms
of walking track.Dr. Vaman Acharya, said that the lakes should not be put to any 
commercial use.Dr. Ravindra said,the lake should not be allowed to be encroached and 
sewerage water should not be allowed to flow into the lake.
